Patterns cont ...

This is the A19 in Sunderland, a main route through the city. Part of everyday life, going home after a busy day, going out to see a show, going visiting family or friends, on the go! Obviously taken at night, I like the Orange glow from the lights. Because of the setting on the camera and the long exposure time, the lights on the cars are blurred.

I've used pastels to recreate the image:-

Playing around with the image in Illustrator I've produced the following patterns:-

spinning the image on one axis ...

and the other

And continuing with ...

Then looking at life in Sunderland in a different way, still regular everyday life,
the humdrum run of the mill jobs to do at home, and what is all around us.
The telegraph poles still out there, wires criss-crossing the sky
The start of spring and buds bursting through the gaps in a garden fence

Laundry day!

Birds in training for migration - an escape perhaps?

The images combined to produce a 3 colour pattern
